Pantsboard Responses - June 2003
June 2003's Burning Question:
What did you like and/or dislike about Rare's E3 2003 showing?
  Dear Rare-type Creatures,
The thing I liked most about your recent E3 showing was that it actually included some games we haven't known about for the past two years. I was beginning to doubt that you were actually working on anything at all, but thankfully I was proven wrong.
First of all it was very nice to see Conker, even if it was just his multiplayer bits. While I must admit a full blown sequel would have been preferable, I certainly won't be complaining when Live and Uncut finally gets here.
I like the look of Grabbed by the Ghoulies, too. I'm waiting to find out a bit more about the gameplay, but from what I've seen it looks good. Same goes for Kameo.
My only real hang-up was the total lack (barring Donkey Kong) of Game Boy Advance games on show. I'm dying to see how Banjo is coming along, and a peek at Sabre Wulf would have been most welcome.
Anyway, you guys had a good showing at E3, on the whole, and I'll look forward to seeing what you have to show us next year; Banjo-Kazooie for GameCube... per chance? Not bloody likely.
     Tom Bennett
  Dear Johnny Sausage Pants:
Rare's E3 showing to me was quite a disappointment. It wasn't the lack of PD Zero (as the Xbox has enough First Person Shooters, they really need more diversity), but rather the fact that your "big title" is nothing more than a N64 port with some enhancements and a simple online component that looks to play like countless other games on XBL. I was hoping for something new and innovative and instead I see rehash, sophomoric and well, rather unimaginative.
It's still too early for me to tell if these titles will suck (especially with just reading previews, looking at some screenshots and videos) so for now I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I really hope you prove me wrong and your other titles such as Kameo make my jaw drop when they're ultimately released (please release these titles this generation). But as of right now, I wonder if your offerings will really get my hard-earned bucks amidst some ambitious releases like Halo 2, Fable, BC, KOTOR, Psychonauts, etc?
Thanks for listening and prove me wrong.
     Neal
Aaah, E3 '03.... I have to say that except for a few personal exceptions (Jak II, Mario and Luigi...), this was a really lukewarm year. Nothing really stood out.
And as for Rare? I'm still not sure what to think. Kameo-wise, I'm starting to wonder why you haven't finished the damn thing. The graphics in the trailer look good enough. If, however, you're taking the time to add a good combat system and a long, varied quest (two things Star Fox Adventures definitely lacked), I'll forgive you. Conker: Live and Uncut took us all by surprise, mainly because it wasn't a true sequel. After thinking, though, I'm a bit more happy about it. Obviously, rereleasing the original game will help to introduce Conker to the Xbox audiences, and for veterans of the original, the multiplayer looks wonderful.
And Grabbed by the Ghoulies.... I don't know. It's nice to see you trying out a new franchise, but couldn't it have waited? Where's Banjo? This game just doesn't look interesting aside from some nice character designs.
     Not yours,
     Behonkiss
Mr. Pants says:
Wait till you've played the damn thing, Honkers. That goes for all you Ghoulies nay-saying squares.
i like how mr pants was there and how he beat mario down with a pole. so many memories but that was the best of the show. oh and can't forget when i beat mr pants in the game of Conkers Live at the Rare e3 show. i 0wned him. And when he bet me his pants and i won. i guess i should be writting to mr. NO pants. anyway other than that it would have to be conkers: live and uncut.
Try again next year Mr Pants,
     Mike "Parisi"
What did I love about your E3 showing? I think it will be easier to tell you what I didn't like. I didn't like that there was no footage of the next Perfect Dark or information about the included Live-enabled remake of the N64 version. That's about it for my dislikes.
I am thoroughly pumped for Kameo and have been since I played it at a Cube Club event back in 2001. Grabbed by the Ghoulies looks very entertaining, but Conker stole the show. While I never really got into CBFD's multiplayer, it was very fun the few times I played it. The remake of CBFD is something I'm not sure I can live without... so give it to me already!
     Oh, because you demanded it:
     i h4t3 teh xb0x!!!11!! u r teh suxx0rz d00d3r!! vv1tn3ss my 1337 ps2 5k1llz!!11!!!!
Thank you for the decades of gaming goodness!!!
     Nathan Drews
Hey Mr. Pants, I'm doing just fi... oh, right.
I was generally pleased with Rare's offerings, GbtG was a nice surprise. When I heard about Conker's new game I felt an overwhelming sense of relief - I HADN'T bought an Xbox for nothing. While I'm absolutely overjoyed that you're bringing the Tediz and squirrels back in force, there are 4 things I'm a bit worried about.
     1. First, the grey squirrels still have exposed tails! This makes them twice as easy to hit as the Tediz.
     2. Ammo restraints. Who needs them? that's one of the great things about BFD - you grab a weapon and head out into the field. You didn't worry about ammo and why should you? It made it more fun.
     3. Why does Conker look like he's made out of play-doh? And his clothes... what's up with that?
     4. And most important - the jets. You're forgetting which war you are portraying! Take those ugly, loud, too-fast-to-be-of-any-use-to-soldiers-on-the-ground jets out of there and replace them with propeller planes!
     Yours faithfully and constructively...
     Me
Quite honestly, the biggest reason Rare's showing was somewhat disappointing is because of the lack of GBA games. Sabre Wulf, Banjo-Kazooie, etc. should be completed, if they aren't already. I know you guys said you were going to get up a section for all these games, but these games don't even have dates (that are known), and they should. DKC Advance is a start, but that's a port (of a port). I'm not sure if this is the fault of Nintendo, Rare, or both of you, but someone needs to get their arse in gear.
     MewMewtwo45
Mr. Pants says:
It's up to the eventual publisher to set a date, smelly. We'll let you know as soon as they've decided! OR MAYBE WE WON'T.
I'm glad to see an uncensored version of Conker's Bad Fur Day. But where the hell is Perfect Dark Zero. And why only 3 games shown? Does porting GameCube games to Xbox take years or something? Oh yeah, and releasing 5 Xbox games by September 2004? It will never happen. I'll be damned if I see anything from you guys by the end of the year that isn't on GBA.
     Tempuary
  Señor Calzoncillos,
Oh, let's see... what I liked about your Eł showing? Well, I did find it funny when Xbox news site editors repeatedly identified Conker as one of the grey army squirrels from the promo video, not having ever been exposed to him. Though that doesn't really enter into what YOU had to show, so I'll take a more conventional route with this.
The Good: Kameo's looking more polished than ever (couldn't see a single renegade polygon on that amputated octopus fellow) and Ghoulies looks absolutely stunning in motion. Of course I'm most psyched about the Conker announcement and the fact that it'll be online. It's also great that a wider audience will get to experience the brilliant game after its less-than-stellar N64 sales figures. Donkey Kong Country's graphics were heavily improved over what I had initially seen a few months ago. Great stuff.
The Bad: Strictly from the screenshots, Conker's multiplayer looks like it could use some texture work, but I'm sure the visuals will be tweaked to hell and back before 2004. I was saddened that Kameo only features 18 monsters to utilize. For some reason, I remember the number being in the fifties back when it was on GameCube. Or maybe I've just gone nuts. Considering you've announced at least four GBA games in development, it was disappointing that only DKC was on the show floor. Oh - Ghoulies. I've never lost faith in you for providing a great gameplay experience, but I'm a bit worried about Ghoulies. I hope there's more to it than rampant destruction, because that idea wore very thin to me in the middle of Blast Corps. Anyway, I'm frothing at the mouth for a glimpse of the revamped retelling of Conker's day. I would have loved to see a glimpse of Conker himself in action, but alas...
The Ugly: Rampant arguments ensuing over whether the monsterized versions of Banjo and Kazooie's ugly mugs on the walls of Ghoulhaven Hall make the game a part of the Banjo series. Honestly. Thank your recently shaded Y-fronts you don't run a fan site.
     Chad McCanna
  Dear Mr. Pants:
First of all, since mainly all pairs of briefs are normally white and not red, I am driven by the belief that you have on a pair of FLANNEL underwear. I am pegged to ask you; Don't those give you a nasty itch? And don't give any daft response like "If I had white briefs on, I'd be all white!" (You're going to make something out of that, I know it.)
Anyways, what I really liked at your E3 ritual of stupidity of was Conker: Live and Uncut. This is quite exciting news for me, as I am indeed an avid Conker fan. It's not as exciting news as a brand spanking new Conker, but the promise of the N64 version remade with better graphics for the Xbox and footage that didn't make it into the first one more than compensates.
Josh Tejada (I'M YOUR DADDY NOW)
Dear Mr. Pants' Suave Bowler Hat,
I'll keep it short for you since the pantalooned one whined about my previous response. I mean really though -- asking questions and then not wanting answers. What is the world coming to? Anyway. Most liked? Definitely Ghoulies. I know that people have bitched about Cooper looking unappealing, but I think he looks inventive and fun to play as. Not "Floyd says RAR!" inventive, but still good. There's also the fact that he's got a WASP girlfriend tied up in alluring positions (cor, I'm getting memories of Colour Dreams' Menace Beach). Oh, and the fact that the entire game has the feel of a MASSIVE MAD MONSTER MANSION deserves two thumbs up. Live and Uncut? Meh - looks good and I'll probably buy it, but Ghoulies is definitely my main urge to splurge.
     "Aussie" Ben Kosmina
My E3 pick is Conker: Live and Uncut. As an avid FPS hater, Conker's BFD was the best multiplayer going on the N64, so getting an online version of this is "Fan f**king-tastic."
I was disappointed that we didn't see any of your GBA games, though. You yourself said they are finished, so even if a publisher hasn't been chosen, why couldn't Sabre Wulf and Grunty's Revenge be shown to the masses?
     Dave
Mr. Pants says:
Think about it: no publishing deal finalised by E3, therefore no stand to display them on. Come on, Davey-boy - it's not rocket science!
Kameo is definitely a beautiful looking game with a great art direction. I LOVE where this game is going. The rock creature alone had so much charm and character, and its just a pile of rocks! The level I played involved a big blind Ogre that relied on his hearing. Levels like this show the charm and creativity that Rare pours into its games. Little touches like that level with the Ogre running to the sound and getting hit in the head show just how experienced and great you are at capturing a smile from us. Not only do you offer great gameplay, but you offer joy with it.
Your company definitely makes me feel comfortable about me purchasing Microsoft's game console. It does pay to own all machines, but definitely Rare is one of the reasons I will state when people question my purchase of an Xbox.
I thank you for taking the time to read this.
     Bobby
  Hi Mr. Pants,
I must say that E3 has been great even for Rare this year, although it didn't bring me what I did want to see. Sure, there's been the great Kameo (which won't come out until awhile), the «1337» Conker remake as well as the kiddy, nonetheless original and funny Grabbed by the Ghoulies (kiddy never meant bad, and that's somewhat why I love awesome games like Banjo-Kazooie). But, I would have liked more announcements. I mean, sure, the two new games are astonishing, but I would have appreciated some news about remakes or new installments in Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark and Killer Instinct series.
But anyways, as long as one of the games you've announced comes out this year, I'll be happy. ;)
     Have a nice day,
     Jonathan Lalonde
  My question is simple...
Why is Conker just a bloody remake! Remakes p*ss me off more than cats!
Yeah, yeah. The graphics are redone. The addition of all the online games is very nice. But it's not the same. Don't we get enough shooters? (PD0?) Conker was great for its amazingly hillarious and fun main platforming game.
I was sad when I learned of this. If I want to watch cows poo, I live in Wisconsin. Or I have my BFD game right here... Let me know when you guys plan on making a new game for once.
     Bonestormer
After this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, I have found that I have finally lost faith in Rareware, well, for the most part. I'm equally impressed with Grabbed by the Ghoulies and Kameo: Elements of Power. I'm sort of disappointed with the "new" Conker: Live and Uncut. Now........WHERE THE HELL IS PERFECT DARK ZERO. SCREW YOU TO THE BONE. I THOUGHT THIS GAME WAS CONFIRMED. Oh yea, and that Kameo delay until 2004. AND NO GBA GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
     Bottom Line: YOU SUCK BALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
     Justin Gentry
Mr. Pants says:
Whew! Lucky I included that "wehre is pd zeer0??!#" disclaimer to stop all the illiterate divvies writing in!
  Pantsman,
I loved all of Rare's E3 lineup, but there should have been more... I mean you guys crank out 3, maybe 4, games a year and think gamers will be satisfied? Well, we are, but that's only 'cuz we don't know any better. And I'd like to see more GBA games, so that I can Rare anywhere!!!!!!!!
     Mixmasta J
  Dear Mr. Pants,
Well, call me Mr. Impossible, but I was hoping for a Rare game to come out for Gamecube this year. But I guess that can't happen with the whole Nintendo to Microsoft switch. Anyway, I still like Xbox (it's cool). I know Rare is still allowed to make GBA (Game Boy Advance) games to. Let's get to E3: I was happy that a sequel (well, sort of), to Conker's Bad Fur Day had come (finally), and the original Donkey Kong Country (I hope the crappy sequels will not be released) came out for the GBA, but I was hoping for a sequel to Blast Corps to be released. That game was pretty cool on the N64, now I would love to see a sequel on the Xbox. Also, Perfect Dark Zero, where are you? I just hope it does not come out in 2007.
     Sincerely,
     Mr. Impossible
  Dear Mr. Pants,
This year's E3 was solid for Rare. The thing is, though, it took me a while to come to this conclusion. I (like many, I think) was expecting the BIG guns this year. Banjo, Perfect Dark and, if you will, Battletoads were unfortunate no-shows. I mean, not even a peep on Slalom 2. Or what about Jordan vs. Bird 2? Can you imagine the dunk contest in glorious bump-mapped 3D glory? Anyway, to the point. After my initial disappointment, I realized that my favorites were original, unkown concepts at one time as well. Both Kameo and GBTG look like they'll be great games that will hopefully build followings as other Rare classics have. I really have to applaud you guys for not being afraid to push new ideas and content, especially in the face of a platform change in the middle of a life cycle. Which brings me to my final point. With only two or three years to go before the next iteration of Xbox is released and Rare's very popular practice of taking their time with games, are there going to be projects that get moved to Microsoft's next console? (Dinosaur Planet, anyone?) On a lighter note, I hope I will be able to pee on on the little purple devil fellers in GBTG like I could in Conker's BFD.
     Power to the Pants!
     Steve-O
  Dear Ed,
     Good points about Rare @ E3 2K3 -
Conker on Xbox. I loved the game on N64 and I don't have any objections to buying it again on Xbox. Multiplayer looks OK, but the single player adventure is what I'll be forking over the dosh for. Although with any luck it'll be somewhat improved visually over the N64 version. ;)
     Bad points about Rare @ E3 2K3 -
For the love of god, WHERE IS KILLER INSTINCT 3!?!?? Probably my biggest gaming fantasy right now is for Rare to develop KI3 for Xbox, and release with it a bonus disc featuring both KI and KI2, for all the unfortunates who somehow didn't play them, or for the diehards who want arcade perfect conversions at home.
     Cheers,
     Matt. Cairns, QLD, Australia
Mr. Pants says:
You people can work KI3 into any topic, can't you? And who's Ed?
I enjoyed your showing at E3, Grabbed by the Ghoulies has produced some hilarious conversations. I like the fact Rare used a title that really gives us Brits some power over the Americans, but not being a tyrant I have chosen to educate my American brothers and sisters as to what it is to be 'grabbed by the ghoulies'. After trying varying methods, including the hands-on approach, I found an image which every British football fan recognises which instantly relates you to the subject matter...
You were probably thinking that was going to be porn, sorry to disappoint. As you can see the picture really sums up not only the malicious act but also the oh-so-shocking ramifications, the look of desperation of Gazza's face here is a classic facial expression that will go down in history with that bird in the Mona Lisa and that old hag by Whistler's Mother, and the puppy from the Andrex adverts.

  RE: E3 showing
Kameo looks great. I'm glad Conker: Live and Uncut includes the original (CBFD) because I never got to play it and I have no interest whatsoever in online/multiplayer play. Grabbed by the Ghoulies I'm not so sure about. I don't like the 'look' but I like the theme and I heard it plays like Smash T.V. which I think is great. Would have rather had Perfect Dark Zero or Banjo or a new platformer.
     Doug Kissick
Mr. Pants, first I would like to say you have some sexy, sexy nipples. Now, on to more serious business. I loved the Conker: Live and Uncut almost as much as I like your red underoos. Thx.
     Jimmy
  Hello Pants Assessor,
Well, given this is my first Pantsboard submission I'm going to make the most of this. I found your E3 2003 showing to be somewhat surprising but also somewhat as expected. I was surprised that there was no sign of your revealed shooter: Perfect Dark Zero yet at the same time, relieved that you didn't blow it by trying to compete directly with Halo 2.
I did expect only three Xbox titles from you at E3 but I was quite surprised about Grabbed By The Ghoulies. This is indeed an interesting and original title. I'm glad to see it developed by the Banjo team as it looks like it will be packed with all the fun shown through the teams other projects. However, I think you should release some more media and game information about this title before deciding that this should be your first offering for the Xbox. I kind of get the vibe from everyone that this title does not yet look like its ready to carry the weight of being Rare's first effort for the Xbox. Most opinions I've read online seem to suggest Conker: Live and Uncut is the better of the three titles revealed at E3. Despite its very small media display, I would have to agree but only on the basis that I've played the original Conker game extensively and enjoyed it thoroughly and I would expect the same from its successor.
In short, Conker rocked, Kameo looks a bit dull and Grabbed By The Ghoulies should be a blast, show us some more!!
     Wozza
Your nipples are disgustingly close together.
     Arcidy
Mr. Pants says:
Yeah? Well, Jimmy said he liked them.
The E3 line-up looked fantastic. Kameo will most definitely be the 2nd must own game for Xbox (next to Halo of course). Conker appeared solid as well. Keep in mind that Xbox is selling well but its game library falls short of impressive at the moment, so you guys are going to make or break this console for me. My biggest complaint about your E3 showing is the fact that there were no Game Boy Advance titles. Come out with it already and tell us what's up. I'd like to play BK: Grunty's Revenge and Sabre Wulf before the next handheld game system breakthrough.

     P.S. More Jet Force Gemini!!!
  Hi Mr. Pants,
Just wanted to drop by and comment on your parent company's 'controversial' E3 game; Grabbed By The Ghoulies.
Now, to be blunt, when I first clapped eyes on this offering I was very disappointed. I perked up a bit (oo-er) after seeing the game in action, however it still seemed bland and boring.
This evening, I have just sat down and played Buffy and Enter The Matrix, both on the Xbox, and it was - ironically - while playing on the mansion level of Matrix that I realised just how good GBTG will probably be. Wrestling (I'm sure I spotted Cooper elbow-dropping a baddie)/stylish combat in a 3D adventure - as long as the gameplay/combat is developed well enough - could be brilliant. With Rare at the helm, I'm sure the gameplay will outmatch both of the aforementioned titles while injecting some humour into the genre.
It is here, though, that I must announce my concerns, then.
One - The Matrix has the whole slo-mo thing - I really hope there's some sort of unnannounced feature that will make the title distinct and give it an edge so the combat doesn't get repetitive. Some sort of other mode that refreshes the gameplay and adds some strategy into the fighting.
Two - Buffy and Matrix both attempted to intersperse their violence with generic, boring and irritating puzzles - please don't make us "wade through the dark one-fall-and-you-die sewers before we reach the magnificence of the chateau" as in Enter The Matrix - or whatever the equivalent may become in Grabbed.
     Thank you and goodnight.
     Martin "Alf-Life" Badowsky
I must say that I've got one less reason to hate Xbox. THANKS SO MUCH FOR GIVING US CONKER!!!!! Those renders on the wallpapers look like we have a good idea how Live & Uncut will be like and I'm pretty interested on what Heist would be like on-line. Now for other games, I'm still not impressed by Kameo but this Grabbed by the Ghoulies game sounds like we might get some pretty wacky situations. Especially if it's being made by that nutty Banjo team that makes me laugh my arse off. I can only hope we get some references to the bear and bird in here. Maybe this Ghoulhaven Hall could show off pictures of Gruntilda since she's pretty ghoulish herself.
     Ness554
I was most impressed by Grabbed by the Ghoulies at Rare's E3 showing since it has a very unique graphical style and looks like an extremely fun game to play. Kameo: Elements of Power also looks just as promising because of its interesting storyline and original characters. The one gripe I and I'm sure many other Rare fans are equally upset about, however, is the total lack of any Game Boy Advance games on display. Even after Microsoft's acquisition of Rare I was really excited about Sabre Wulf and Banjo Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge appearing on Nintendo's handheld but now it seems as if the games have disappeared forever and the hopes of little children the world over have been violently crushed because of it. I remember Scribes previously noting that both of the games I mentioned were finished or at least near completion so what's going on?
The return of both Banjo and Sabreman to the Game Boy Advance would be such a fitting end to the legacy that Rareware left with Nintendo. Just in case I haven't already proven it, I sincerely hope that both Banjo Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge and Sabre Wulf make it to the Game Boy Advance by whatever means necessary. I do, however, congratulate Rareware on an impressive Xbox lineup and hope that the company continues its honorable history by producing fine games for the console. Thank you for your time.

Mr. Pants says:
They're coming! They're coming! Chill your boots, big fella!
I'll give you credit for this - not much developers showed off a squirrel and a boy who smacks ghosts with chairs and limbs at E3 this year. I'll also admit that the announcements for Conker and Ghoulies were surprises, though not in a good way. None of those games get my senses tingling like your games for the N64 and Gamecube did. Conker should have, but since it's only a director's cut (what you couldn't have on the N64) and not a sequel, it's a little dissapointing. The only thing it has going for it is the Live support, because for those of us who played through the original game multiple times, a few minutes of added gameplay won't do us any good. As for Ghoulies, your preview of the game makes it sound a little interesting, but the screenshots don't. It seems a little boring, the story idea at least. I mean anyone can make up a funny looking guy named Cooper and have him search a haunted house for his girfriend. Although I must admit, with you guys behind the helm, it will most likely turn out to be a very fun game.
One last thing, when you say, at the end of your Ghoulies preview, "Look for it then - or we'll be looking for you," what exactly would you do if you found us (those who didn't buy the game)?
     Chris Thompson
I think Grabbed by the Ghoulies is just my cup of tea. Ghosts, spectres, crazy pirate guys running around, awesome music. So far the storyline seems great. Normally, Rare games like Banjo and DK64 are just repetitive stuff. Go to a level, get ten Jiggies or 25 bananas, then go to the next. With the story staying the same. From what I understand the GBTG story has a twist in the middle of the game and a few "Rare twists" also. The team has really outdone themselves. Graphics seem more than average and the background props and/or walls seem really nicely done by the artists. I can say the same for the graphics on Kameo.
     Justin Dawdy
I don't think it was a good idea to package the original CBFD with Live and Uncut because most Nintendo fans have played it and won't buy a new console just for an old game (multiplayer looks good though).
I am, but, well, that's beside the point.
     Alex Bomford
  Hey Mr. Pantsman!
It seems here I've got two compliments here and a slew of suckies for your bosses. I think I'll like Grabbed by the Ghoulies, but quite simply, I don't like the animation of Cooper. It seems much more robotic than that of the old, super-toony characters of yore.
I'm still rather put off by the faux fairy-tale-epic style of Kameo... it seemed more mysterious on GCN. And while Conker: Live & Uncut may be all well and good, are you simply going the GameCube route with a remake? Yes, I know that half the game is all new. That part looks coolio.
But my biggest complaint isn't on their Xbox lineup, despite the fact that I own a GameCube. (Sure I'm jealous... but mostly of bad third-party PS2 games.) My complaint is on DKC for GBA. I'm going to buy it. But I have a question...
WHOSE BRIGHT IDEA WAS IT TO MAKE ANOTHER HANDHELD PORT OF THE SAME FLINGIN' GAME?!?!?
Come on, Rare! I'm baffled as to why put money into the second Game Boy version of DKC when you could have been porting its superior sequel, DKC2! Mr. Pants, you're the only one I can talk to around here. You're the only fellow who makes sense. I'm going to pray tonight for wisdom and light in the world of video games. Or not. Oh, and sir... I'm terribly sorry about your gruesome death. I really am. I know it was quite a shock and you probably don't remember what happened, but I caught it on tape for you in an AVI file. If you don't want to show everyone, I understand. Terribly sorry.
JetDog (What is he talking about?)
ok. ill tell you my thoughts on the E3 line-up.
WHERE WERE THE FREAKING GAMECUBE GAMES????
     Vaughan Jones
Mr. Pants says:
Jonesy, Jonesy, Jonesy. Just come out of hibernation?
  Hi Guys!
Your E3 display was tops! I'm particularly excited about the new Conker - and you're throwing in an enhanced version of the original?!? Mucking farvellous!
Grabbed by the Gonads (or whatever it's called) looks mint and I'm looking forward to that, and as for Kameo - hurry up and release it.
I know I'm late here, but if you're still taking suggestions for what games/franchises to bring back, could you please release an updated version of Snake Rattle n' Roll for the Box-de-la-X.
     Adios.
     Clive
  Hey y'all,
Overall, fairly pleased with your E3 showing, though I was praying for a true Conker sequel. Still, I suppose you have to introduce the little fellow to all those XBox owners who never had the pleasure. Perhaps in a few years, he can come back in an all-new adventure (unless some of this new footage includes the alternate ending we've heard the designer speak of... *blam!*... I hope not)? Pretty please, CBFD was so good, so unexpected and different that there has to be a sequel someday...
I, for one, am really looking forward to Grabbed by the Ghoulies. I love the strange locales and tasks that the Banjo team dreams up, and absolutely adore their flair for the slightly campy. I'm especially intrigued by the twists promised on the old haunted-house/platform themes as well as the "healthily mild dose of seriousness."
We've heard DKC GBA's been released, but what of those other GBA adventures like Sabre Wulf and B-K: Grunty's Revenge? Are they still on the plate? Will we be seeing them anytime soon? If there was one thing I wanted to hear more about at E3, it was the status of your GBA fare.
Anyway, work hard and get Grabbed by the Ghoulies out before summer 2005, all right? I might just get an XBox if you can manage to get the game out before Christmas (it IS later this year as of now, right?). I'll bet the prospect of one more sale absolutely propels the designer to apply the whi
